I have the honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of Troy Middle School. This is my 35th year in education, and my 23rd in Troy. All of my educational experience has been at the middle school level where I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies. Within the Troy District, I have worked as the Director of Athletics and Activities, served as Assistant Principal at Troy Middle School, and am now in my 9th year as the Principal of TMS.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Evansville; my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University; and my Administrative endorsement from Concordia University - Chicago.

While not at TMS, I spend time with my husband of 33 years, our son, a student at Carroll University, and our dog, Brindley. During my free time, I love to fish, ride horses, read, and work in my garden.

Hey there! I am Jharita Jordan and I have the pleasure of serving TMS as one of the Deans of Students. I have previously served our school as an assistant principal, social studies teacher and ELA teacher. As a graduate of Troy schools, it is safe to say that this place feels like home.

While pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree at Illinois State University, I majored in middle level education and received my endorsements in ELA and social studies. I had the opportunity to further my education and receive my master’s degree from Concordia University - Chicago.

Outside of school, I have quite the knack for geography and enjoy traveling. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and when I’m not spending time with loved ones, I chill out with my dog, Dr. Mali.
